Students from the Arts and Technology Program presented a multi-sensory exploration of the sound of materials.

With specially design sensors, contact microphones and “Touchophones” the visitors were invited to experience the inner dimensions of sounds.  Projection of digital visualizations of soundscapes allowed the visitors to modify these sounds by re-drawing their parameters.  Play with unique instruments, experiment with materials artists use, and listen to the texture of sounds. This was a drop-in, hands-on experience led by students and faculty from the University of Texas at Dallas, and spearheaded by Frank Dufour.
